Our texts can be customized. If the professor wants to order a custom version, he or she should provide an “ISBN-Equivalent” for you to order. If not, the standard 10 digit ISBN will do.

Freight charges

Returns freight charges are the customer's responsibility.

We do not offer discounts on our textbooks. All prices listed in our online catalog are the prices for all parties.

Special promotions

We offer a special promotion for orders over 25 units of one book. For example: ABC Bookseller orders 25 "Intro to Business" books, they will get one free. If ABC Bookseller orders 50 "Intro to Business" books and 30 "Principles of Management" books, ABC will get 2 free "Intro to Business" books and 1 free "Principles of Management" books.

Shipping Rates & Times

We have negotiated rates with FedEx for shipping to ensure lowest cost possible to the bookstores. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the discount for bookstores on Flat World Knowledge textbooks?

We do not give discounts on our textbooks at this time. The price in the Flat World Knowledge online catalog is the price of the textbook and its alternate versions for all purchasers of the product(s).

How much lead time do I need to place an order with Flat World Knowledge so the books get here on time?

We are pretty quick. As soon as we receive your order, we send it to our printers and ship it to you. It usually takes between 3-5 business days depending on where in the country you are located. International orders take longer

Do I need a different ISBN to order color versions of books vs. black and white versions?

Nope. If you want to order a textbook from us, just use the ISBN or ISBN Equivalent given by the instructor, and note how many of that ISBN or Equivalent you want in color and how many you would like in black and white. You should note how many color and b/w texts you want for each ISBN you order.

What is an ISBN-Equivalent anyway?

Since Flat World Knowledge textbooks can be customized by professors, when the professor decides to adopt that customized book, we assign it an ISBN Equivalent. That number is what booksellers use to order so you get the customized book that the professor intended for his/her students.
